    This scanned film photo shows the caisson turning toward the U.S. Capitol, where the casket would be placed for viewing in the rotunda. A riderless horse, with a boot strapped to the side of the saddle was emotional to see. The sounds from the military salute by a low flyover of 21 Air Force F-15 jets (one in a missing man's formation), and that of a 21 gun salute with artillery fire, had a chilling effect as well. I only wish that my girlfriend brought the video camera! Photo taken on 6/9/04.
