"Nahdit Misr", a famous statue created by Mahmoud Mucktar (1919-1928), a pioneer of Egyptian Art standing on the main road to Cairo University! It was sculpted to demonstrate the "Egyption Awakening" through the sphinx & a peasant woman lifiting her veil, symbolizing embracing of Egypt's past & hope for the future!
