This is the most ubiquitous Kingfisher in central India.Most of the time you will see these beautiful birds perched atop electric wires as if we have erected this infrastructure solely for their perching.The Oriental Pied Kingfisher creates beauty with just black and white. But the White Breasted Kingfisher does not shy away from using liberally the colors nature has on offer. The same is true for the Common Blue Kingfisher.
