    Reported by:

In the quiet town of Oslob, Cebu, Central Philippines, local fishermen feed whale sharks, Rhincodon typus, with "uyap" (krill) to keep them in shallow waters so tourists can interact with the gentle giants. This controversial practice has drawn criticism from marine biologists who believe that this practice could alter the feeding behavior and migration patterns of these whale sharks.
