    This photo was taken during April of 2016 at Monterey Bay in California. This is the time where the whales come back up to the coast from areas that are warm, like Mexico, so a lot of breaching is seen throughout this time period. This picture was fun to shoot because it was freezing, and right as I was about to go back to shore, a mother and her babies came around and started breaching which was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
