Caper White Butterfly on Buddleia Flower
A Caper White Butterfly (Belenois java) on a Buddleia Flower (butterfly bush). Caper White Butterflies are on a mass migration in South East Queensland, flying from the Great Dividing range to lay their 60-100 eggs on the caper bush. Current hot weather conditions in South East Queensland means these butterflies are using a lot less energy to keep warm and stay hydrated, making for perfect flying weather.
