Edit Photo Details Old fashioned heating duct   #heating #grillduct #floorduct
This was taken in December 2015 inside an old house looking down from the second floor. This house was built in the early 1900s. Back then the central heating would rise from a furnace from the basement to the first floor and then on up to the second floor through a grate like this. Usually the furnace was fired by coal that the home occupant had to load and ignite. Now this house has more modern heating. The grill is just for looks.
