    Protesters swarmed onto the 101 Highway in Los Angeles after Donald Trump was elected President. Police officers were called in to push the protesters back onto the city streets so that cars could run freely again. I got home extremely late that night but the adrenaline was still running through me. As an aspiring photojournalist, covering breaking news and documenting important stories like this has given me purpose especially when our country is so divided among so many issues at hand.

    What really made this image for me was the juxtaposition of the protestors on the bridge with the police below. Two different feelings and moods are set by the differences. Also the lit up street sign adds a nice layer here and I think going B&W with this photograph was a great call.
