Lioness' Closeup
On a visit to Edinburgh Zoo, where the RZSS do some fantastic work, we only caught a glimpse of the lions, resting in some bush. Towards closing time we heard a roar, and made a dash up the steep hill to try and see the lions, it paid off and both the male and female were right up to the viewing window. The Lion was keeping his distance while the Lioness 'played' with us through the glass, though she was hitting the glass with her paw it did not feel like a threat, she came across gentle.
