    Located at an altitude of 2,100 meters at the base of Shkhara mountain Ushguli is one of the highest year around inhabited communities in Europe. Once thought as a very isolated location now it becomes quite a popular tourist destination. Dotted with typical Svaneti towers Ushguli is recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
