This photo was taken from a dock in Little Cayman, stargazing as an offshore thunderstorm started to creep closer to the island. The result, lightning bolts under a nightscape, was breathtaking. This photo was captured with a long exposure, timing the shutter with the flashes of lightning, and balancing the ISO with the intensity of the strikes so the image is not bleached.
