The light of darkness
Those unforgettable summer nights in the Adirondacks when you do experience 'eternity in the palm of your hand'.
We had gone camping by the Saranac lake and though it is summer, the weather is chilly at night when you are out to view the Milky way from the beach. I didn't have a tripod with me and so this shot was hand-held with my elbow on the sand, in a half-crouched position, trying to stabilize the camera for the long exposure shot. Every moment of that night with the stars is memorable.
