A sound most chilling, in a dense jungle as if a creature of myth is hunting you down, the call of this majestic bird is so terrifying, if one has never heard it before that it makes us believe in the creatures that lurk in the dark. This beautiful bird was photographed in the thick and lush forest of Bandipur where we get rewarded with rare sightings of this rare and elusive bird. Some say sighting this bird is even more rare than sighting a cat in the wild. Guess I am one of the lucky ones.
