The winter is upon us. Surfs up on the north shore of Oahu and the albatross are returning to land. This Laysan albatross (Phoebastria immutabilis) performs an aerial inspection of the breeding colony after many months at sea. Overcast sky and exposure compensation resulted in a high key effect.
