The Village Awakens
For Thanksgiving, (which isn't celebrated in Europe of course) I drove to the mountain-lake village of Hallstatt in Austria. It was my first visit, and being the off-season it was sleepy and quiet, just as I'd always imagined it would be. What I didn't realize though, was that the entire village shut down at 6 o'clock. After shooting at this location for sunset I was pretty hungry. Luckily I found a gas station and bought a can of Pringles and two beers for the night. A Thanksgiving to remember.
The reflection is the water really makes this image for me, Bryan. Also the setting of the photograph is very dream like. Thanks for including the story in your caption, it helps add a nice storytelling layer to this image.
