    This is a close-up of the heron I posted earlier. It was very early when I spotted it close to the boardwalk; no one had made it to that part of the marsh to disturb it.The heron didn't move anything but its head for the 10 minutes or so that I watched it. Since they see people everyday, they are not as quick to fly off as would typically be expected. I finally moved on deeper in the woods and when I came back 20 minutes later it had moved about 75 meters across the water to dry land.
