Annapurna Anachronism.
Trekking in the Himalayas is like stepping back in time 100 years. The villages are very old and made of mud bricks, and in some villages there is no electricity. The indigenous people still cook with old wood burning stoves and grow their own food, it is like going back to the Gunsmoke days. Except for the modern day lightweight down jacket, this woman could be right out of the old west days but that jacket is what tells you it is modern times, a fitting bit of contrast to this image.
