9 year old Muhammed Qamand plays with his toys. He is from Syria, his legs were amputated above the knee after his grandparents house in the Bab Al Hadid district of Aleppo was hit by a rocket on 2nd May 2012. The blast killed his mother, little brother, uncle, grandmother, grandfather and granduncle; his cousin received minor facial injuries. Muhammed’s father was at work that day. They now live in Istanbul.
