These are the stumps of 9 year old Muhammed Qamand's legs. They were amputated above the knee after his grandparents house in the Bab Al Hadid district of Aleppo was hit by a rocket on 2nd May 2012. The blast killed his mother, little brother, uncle, grandmother, grandfather and granduncle; his cousin received minor facial injuries. Muhammed’s father was at work that day. They now live in Istanbul.
