I had high hopes of finding some local water birds when noticed this buck bedded down on a small grassy area out in the water. Then I noticed there was a doe in the cover behind him and I tried but could not get both together in the shot. She finally noticed me walking around trying to get the perfect shot of them together which I never did. She bolted he followed and I lost both of them very quickly. Here is where lady luck stepped in and helped. She made a right turn and ran across the pond.
