I took this photo of someone close to me who was going through a difficult moment. I loved the way the light hit her face and created a silhouette. Faith, for me, is about having the courage to feel your feelings no matter how hard it is. This is something we seem to be losing in our western culture. Instead, we stick our heads in the sand, or deny and turn away from ourselves and others. This is how empathy is lost. But to feel and sit with our feelings is how we can regain connection.
