What surprises me most about my granddaughter is her respect for all of us and the obedience of her mother over any of us who are her grandparents. When we offer her something to eat, she does not eat, even liking, without first asking her mother if she can really eat. If we invite her to leave, she does not tell the mother that she will leave with us, she will ask permission to leave. It is important to note that my granddaughter lives with her mother in her grandparents' house.
