Another great town on Mt Desert Island is Southwest Harbor, a cozy town with many shops and a short distance from the center, there are many docks and many restaurants, to enjoy Maine cuisine such as lobsters, (Maine residents pronounce it lobstahs), clams and a variety of fish! Maine is well known for it's lobster and almost all small villages have some tie to lobster fishing! I love Mt Desert Island with all it's beauty, small towns and villages, that have an ambiance of old world charm!
