This image was taken while laying on the prow of a boat off the coast of Costa Rica. We were on our way to dive Cocos Island, a day and a half trip from the mainland. On this day the ocean was glassy flat and it seemed as if all the cetaceans were out to play, including these three dolphins, who raced the boat. Each appears a different color due to their relative depth when the shutter closed. Streams of water blur them and threads of spray appear as scratches on the image.
