    With a thoroughly experienced guide we spent the whole morning on back roads with almost no one else around. He pulled up to these giraffes, killing the engine so as not to alarm them. Just at that moment another vehicle pulled up loudly next to us, startling the animals. I was annoyed that the animals started moving away from us, but reviewing images I realized that the other vehicle did result in the giraffe on the left looking right at the camera.
