carpetshark feeding sardines
A amazing day in Raja Ampat. We came for a surfacestopp between two dives but I stayed all the time in the water because of this giant sardineschool just at the jetty. It was a banquet for Jacks and a carpetshark and a scorpionfish.
This pictute of the carpetshark shows the moment of caching the prey (a sardine). Because carpet sharks are completely safe for divers, I dared close to the mouth. Maybe it was my presence that shooed a sardine in front of his mouth, allowing me to shot this Photo.
