On new year day in Paro the atmosphere was relaxed. The Dzong and the schools being closed the town general stores were open for business. The local people were happily strolling in the sparkling sunshine. I asked this man sitting on a sunny bench if he wanted a picture taken. Monks were in the shop and he had just talked with them. He was pleased to be photographed and smiled talking to his neighbour that was sitting next to him. His relax and happiness are contagious though the image.
