Despite the warmth in this sunrise, the temperature held a solid 5 degrees Fahrenheit. The conditions in high mountain desserts experience serious wind and varying temperatures. Here at Craters of the Moon, located between Boise Idaho and Yellowstone national park, you will not find a dark lava rock the same as another, or have the ability to bottle up the distinct smell of that sage brush. Capturing the sunrise over this incredible landscape was my privilege!
