The 2017 Black Nazarene procession, which is also called Traslación (literally, "transfer"), is the longest to date. It took 22 hours and 19 minutes to complete compared from previous longest back in 2014 which took 22 hours. The procession which is called Traslación, is to reenact the transfer of the Black Image of Christ from Intramuros to Quipo Church (Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene) which became its residence since 1787 January 9. It was said that the image brings miraculous gifts.
