American Bald Eagle Portrait #2
Of the estimated 70,000 bald eagles in the world, about half of that number lives in Alaska & British Columbia. Adults develop the white head and tail feathers when the bird becomes sexually mature around age 5. June 18, 2007 the American bald eagle was taken off the endangered & threatened list. The sharpness of the eagle’s eye is at least four times that of a person with perfect vision.
