Preparing for the traditional family holiday meal using Grandma's China. My grandmother purchased the Rosenthal china and the crystal just before World War II. Members of seven generations of my family have since shared a holiday meal together using the dishes -- with a pattern that my daughters have now deemed "old-fashioned" and "out-of-date." Well, darlings, that's the point. It's tradition.
