This karst window sinkhole beneath a limerock dome is a "jaw dropper" when first viewed. The night shot is a composite using about 30 identical long exposures, each lit differently (light painting). That is warm moonlight streaming through the giant oculus onto the rocks beneath. This is one of several nightscape compositions of Florida's springs that collaborater, John Moran, and I use to inspire awareness and stewardship of our Floridan Aquifer.
