Maned wolves are living in the grasslands of South America (Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and rarely Uruguay). The maned wolf is the tallest of the wild canids with a weight of 23kg and stands 90cm tall at the shoulder, has a head-body length of 100 cm with the tail adding another 45 cm.
