    Edit Photo Details See Me, See You   #great_horned_owl
    I was photographing other birds when I felt a presence behind me. I turned, and I was looking into the face of this beautiful Great Horned Owl ((Bubo virginianus), sitting in a tree not twenty feet away. I realized, as I photographed him/her, just why the Great Horned Owl is an apex predator: no fear, not any real curiosity either. Just, intensity.
