    The tradition of crossing the Dal lake from Gagribal to Nishat and Back that is about 15 km swim, is still live as it was introduced in around 1880's by the famous School in Srinagar city which was founded in 1880, the first school which started formal education in this part of the world, that is Indian controlled Kashmir
