Partick Pump Station
Partick Pumping Station was opened in 1904 by Glasgow Corporation. This ornate redstone building sits on the west bank of the River Kelvin on Dumbarton Road. Still used as a water facility, the main building is a large hall tiled with gloss white tiles. The hexagonal feature at the south visible to the left of the picture above is the base of where a tall slender hexagonal chimney was formerly sited. The building is grade B listed.
