Lonely Vase by the Church Door
The First Presbyterian Church in Paducah celebrated its first service in 1933. The original church was destroyed by fire in 1924. The church is beautiful. Arches and beautiful windows adorn the building. These are the original wooden doors from 1933. They are weathered and the surfaces is rough. A lone vase of flowers was the only hint of color. I pass by the church often. The doors always seem to invite me to peer inside.
