While out on a photo assignment for my documentary photography class I stumbled upon this group of paragliders over Utah Lake. I walked over the frozen lake, as the gliders soared like birds around me. I was cold and underprepared, but it was an opportunity to photograph something spectacular and beautiful. The allure of flight was enhanced by the alien, yet beautiful frozen landscape over which they flew. I'm thankful for these windows of opportunity that are occasionally placed before us.
