While spending time in Keflavik, I had a chance to see a local car racing competition going on. After the race my new found Romanian and Slovenian friends have been giving me a walking tour around town. My Slovenian friend, Robert tells how this place was once a big herring fishing port. Icelanders were known to become instant millionaires in one fishing season, right before the herring fish became overfished. This is what remains today in this mirror-like reflection of docked small boats.
