Living 150 miles from the desert can be a great break from life in the alpine environment, especially when the weather here in the mountains turns to crap. Of the 10 inches or so of rain that falls here in the Moab area 2 inches of it must have fallen in the 2 days I was there. Nonetheless, the sun has a unique way go poking thru and adding just the right amount of drama to any storm scene.
