Phylidonyris novaehollandiae. The New Holland Honeyeater occurs throughout south-eastern and south-western Australia but is absent in the north and the arid interior. I caught this one making the most of a neighbours grevillea. Shot at a range of only about 5 metres in bright sunlight, I was able to reduce the ISO and stop down a couple steps to give greater depth while still achieving a fast enough shutter speed for a small active bird.
