    Reported by:

The Eastern Phoebe is a flycatcher. These brown-and-white songbirds sit upright and wag their tails from prominent, low perches. In 1804, it became the first banded bird in North America. John James Audubon attached silvered thread to an Eastern Phoebe's leg to track its return in successive years.(allaboutbirds.org) Taken with Canon EOS 5D Mark III, EF 100-400 mm lens, S 1/500, f9, ISO 200, editing by Tim Nicol.
