It is a great pleasure to finally encounter the Great Grey Owls. There seems to be a population explosion as they are being photographed in our area for miles around. I researched the phenomenon and it seems the weather plays a big part in their Southward migration at this time of year. It's a thrill of a lifetime for me as I have never seen one in the wild, let alone been able to capture it!
