The Copts (coptic christians) of Manshiyat Nasser live of garbage collection throughout the city of Cairo. The neighborhood is located right on the outskirt of the city. The zabaleens (garbage collectors) struggle to make a living and raise their children so that they can eventually come up with safer and more eco friendly way of collecting garbages. I took this picture in 2011 as I was location scouting in Cairo. The kids were kind enough to show me their home.
