I raise monarchs with my children. We have a milkweed garden and we enjoy watching mama monarchs lay eggs on the milkweed and then watch them hatch and grow from tiny baby caterpillars to a chrysalis, to butterflies. This photo is of some of our "babies" getting ready for their first flight. My daughter leaned in for a gentle goodbye kiss before they fluttered away.
