The Iban tribe of Borneo live in village longhouses in the dense jungle. The primitive longhouses are up off the ground to provide room underneath for the tribe's many dogs, pig and chickens. To get up the the first floor you have to climb up a notched log, No steps, no handrails. This grandmother navigates this challenge with her grandson on her back with no difficulty. I am still impressed.
