Morning Leopard Lounging
It was day three on my first African safari. We downed some morning joe and piled in the Land Cruiser at 5:30 AM, camp in the rear-view and hopes high to spot some sunrise game. Two hours and a handful of impala herds later, we came to a wide clearing. The car slowed, chatter grew quiet. What is it? Sure enough in the distance, there she was. Pulling the car alongside this female leopard, she simply sat straddling this tree branch, perhaps more curious about us than we were about her.
