"Timvos Makedonitisas" is an a military cemetery Greek Cypriot soldiers who fallen in the struggles against the Turks in 1964 and 1974. The site was indeed where the cemetery on 22 July - 1974, was shot down by friendly fire in "Noratlas" type plane carrying 1 Commando Squadron of the Greek Armed Forces They came to Cyprus to defend the island. The aircraft wreckage is buried beneath the mound, even all occupants except one died without ever being recognised by all.
