    Reported by:

Secretly tucked away in the jungle of southern Burma sits a cockfighting ring, where hundreds of men gather every week to bet on birds as they battle in the ring. Females are usually socially unaccepted at the ring-- but these two defiant young girls (who had just crawled out of the river nearby) stood on the edge of the ring, ignoring the men who tried to shoo them away. I admired their strong defiance in the face of sexist gender norms.
