The terraces built below the ancient citadel of Pisac are both amazing reminders of the skill of past civilizations and the daily work places of todays campesinos in Peru. Here it is spring, a storm is coming, the workers who have been repairing the terraces for spring planting have left. It is a scene thousands of years old and thoroughly modern.
